Tom Sharp is a seasoned entrepreneur, mentor, and leader with more than three decades of experience building businesses that blend purpose with impact. He spent over 30 years growing a successful financial planning practice, leading a team of more than 20, and completing several acquisitions and sales. After selling his firm in 2012, Tom dedicated himself to coaching financial advisors on key areas such as succession planning, team development, and business growth strategies.
In 2018, he returned to firm ownership, scaling his new practice to over $1M in revenue and $110M in assets under management by 2024 while serving over 220 clients. His expertise has made him a trusted advisor in client acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, and leadership development. Through each season of growth and transition, Tom has leaned on his guiding life verse, Philippians 4:13, which continues to inspire his faith-driven approach to leadership.
Today, Tom serves as a C12 Chair, walking alongside Christian CEOs and business owners in the Sacramento region who are committed to leading with both excellence and eternal impact. Alongside this work, he contributes actively to the Barnabas Group, using his business experience and strategic insight to support local ministries in solving operational challenges and advancing their missions.
